EER is dedicated to the development of a plasma based thermal treatment for environmentally friendly treatment of solid waste materials.

EER is headed by Honorary Chairman Evgeny P. Velikhov, President of RRC Kurchatov Institute and member of Russian Academy of Sciences.

EER main focus and aim is to present a novel solution for the problem of solid waste management, particulary in the fields of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW), Low and Intermediate Level Radioactive Waste (LILRW) and Medical Waste (MW).
